Our principal, Garry Cowan has had a long association with transport equipment going back over 40 years.  Garry started life as a Diesel Mechanic and after completing his apprenticeship went straight into another as an Engineer.

In 1988 Garry leased an Engineering and Truck repair business and from that moment all of Garry’s thoughts and innovations were able to be put into practice.

 

 

LOOSING WEIGHT

 

Garry's reputation was quick to grow, and extensions were soon required to house an expanding mechanical and engineering business. Garry is acknowledged as a leading pioneer of 'Lightweight Trailer' technology for the construction of high tensile steel fabricated trailers.

In 2004 Garry made the move to Canterbury and Cowan Trailers Ltd was born in Rangiora.  Garry continues to use his philosophy of 'Innovation', the use of proven designs, attention to detail second to none and a willingness to create complete customer satisfaction.
